Scientific techniques that will double your learning speed

Increase your productivity and creativity.

Most of us are so busy these days that we don’t find time to learn new skills. Famous people like Oprah Winfrey and Bill Gates use the 5-hour rule and dedicate at least 5 hours weekly to learning new things. You cannot learn much in this short period, But research has shown that using a technique called “state flow” can increase the speed of learning up to two times. Flow mode is a technique in which one hundred percent of a person’s mental power is focused on doing a task, and as a result, the level of productivity, learning, and creativity increases, but how can we develop this technique in ourselves?

1- Be a risk taker and choose difficult conditions

Often, we feel uncomfortable doing things that may even harm us a little, But sometimes, the more we think about something, the harder and more impossible it seems to do. For example, before jumping with a parachute, we feel fear and danger and often stop jumping. But as soon as we do it, we feel comfortable and see that it is not as scary as we thought.

2- To invest outside the level of our skills

To learn subjects we have yet to gain experience with, we should start with small amounts and basic levels, and after learning the basics, we should increase our level of learning. For example, if we want to learn website design using coding and have no background in it, we must spend a lot of time learning. In other words, when an activity is unfamiliar, increasing our learning speed and reaching the state flow technique takes some time.
Our chances of learning the state flow technique increase when the challenges and skills are above average. However, these challenges should not be so high that we are unable to do them at all.

3- Let’s try new things

Although skills and basic abilities are important to meet the challenges, these challenges should be exciting and new simultaneously. We usually go for routine tasks and don’t get excited about doing them, But research has shown that our brain reacts better to new experiences than to predictable ones. Therefore, let’s seek to learn things that excite us Because, in such conditions, the chance of reaching the highest efficiency level also increases.
