How can we get rid of jealousy?

What should be done to avoid being jealous?

Being jealous of others is a bad trait; if we want to compare our lives with others constantly, we should always be sad.
We all know that jealousy is a bad trait. However, we all know people are known to be jealous among our friends and family, and we are not immune to jealousy in some life matters. Of course, the account of jealousy should be separated from what is called jealousy in literature. Jealousy means feeling sorry for another and trying to create motivation to improve yourself and achieve what you don’t have, and the other has. Jealousy does not have a destructive aspect like jealousy and does not harm the jealous person. From this point of view, jealousy can be a valuable and practical characteristic for progress in life. You must have heard that some people say that without being jealous, we would not get anywhere and we would hit on the spot. These people mean to be envious and mistakenly use the word jealousy instead. Now, what should be done to extinguish the fire of jealousy in ourselves and prevent it from becoming a moral habit and vice? What should we do not to be jealous?

Ways to cure jealousy:

1- Do not compare

It has been said for a long time that hand-over-hand is too much. Those who are jealous of him will have colorful jealousies toward others, and our current situation will also be a source of envy and regret for many. If we compare our conditions with those of someone higher than us and feel sorry and jealous about them, we should stop work and life and sit and grieve from morning to night.

2- Strengthening self-confidence

Self-esteem is opposed to humiliation, which is the root of most jealousy. Weak people who don’t value their personality and existence will sink to the point of being jealous of someone else for something. Self-confident people accept their circumstances instead of vain jealousy, strive for self-improvement, and walk the path of progress with patience.

3- Value ourselves

Others recognize jealousy in our behavior and speech, as we have the ability to recognize the jealousy of others. Understanding our jealousy crushes our character in the eyes of others and provokes their negative judgment. Jealousy, like any other moral vice, destroys the opportunities caused by others’ trust in us. Jealousy is as much a source of filth and corruption as lies, backbiting, and other moral vices.
