The only survivor of a broken ship reached a small, uninhabited island. He prayed with a trembling heart that God would save him.
He spent days searching the horizon for help, but no one came. Finally, tired and worn out, he managed to build a hut from the torn boards around him to protect himself from the wind, rain, and dangers and store his small possessions in it.
One day, when he returned to the hut after his daily wanderings and looking for food, he hurried to the hut after seeing thick smoke rising from there and saw it burning.
Everything was lost; the hut he had built with hard work was reduced to ashes and dried up in place. He had no hope for life anymore. He shouted out of anger and sadness, “God, how did you agree to do such a thing to me?”
The next morning, he woke up to the sound of a ship approaching the shore. He quickly reached the shore, and when he met the sailors, he asked, “How did you know I was here?” The sailors answered in surprise, “Well, we noticed the smoke signals you were sending!”
He felt guilty and looked at the sky.
It is easy to get discouraged when we realize that our work is not going well, but we should never lose our hope and trust in God because He is the one in our lives and is also aware of our pain and suffering.
If our hut was burning, let’s remember that it might be a sign from God to call for His mercy.
God has a positive answer for all the negative words and thoughts we think.
He said, “It is impossible,” and God replied, “All things are possible.”
He said, “Nobody loves me at all,” God replied, “I love you.”
He said, “I am exhausted and helpless in life.” God replied, “I will be your comforter”.
He said, “I don’t have the power and strength to continue.” God replied, “I open the doors of my mercy for you.”
He said, “I am not able to solve problems.” God replied, “I will guide your steps”.
He said, “I am not able to do it.” God replied, “You can do anything with me”.
He said, “It won’t be worth it.” God replied, “It will find value.”
He said, “I can never forgive myself.” God replied, “I will forgive you.”
He said, “I am always worried and hopeless.” God replied, “Put all your worries on me and let your hope be in me.”
He said, “I don’t have enough faith.” God replied, “I have given enough faith to everyone equally.”
He said, “I feel lonely.” God replied, “I will never leave you”.
“Be strong enough to face life every day.”
